Back from Vegas

Ed and I had a blast in Vegas; like usual!!! Donna had a great birthday...we spent Tuesday all day at the spa and went shopping on Wednesday! Of course there was LOTS of gambling and drinking and just having a great time. We saw Emerson Drive on Wednesday night at Freemont Street and on Thursday we were on the strip right next to....like 3 feet away...from the top 16 Nascar qualifiers racing up and down Las Vegas Blvd. Wow what a trip!!!

Click here to see the pictures from the trip.

We are excited to be back and so happy to see Cohen and the pups.

It is snowing now and I am definitely in the Christmas spirit. Bring on the holidays!

Leaving the babies

Ed and I dropped off the dogs today at the pet hotel....they are going to have soooo much fun. Bobbi, the owner, fenced in 1.5 acres for the "big" dogs to run. Tank was happy to see all the other puppies, but Busch whined at the door when we left....poor guy....he is such a mamma's baby. Once he finds out that he can run outside, he will forget that we left him at the pet hotel.

Also, we dropped Cohen off at daycare and I had to fight back the tears...I am going to miss the little guy so much....but I know that Papa and Nana will take good care of him. I could not stop kissing and hugging him. He has his first appointment with the ENT today to find out what we are going to do about the constant ear infections. Luv you Cohen!!!!!

Wish us luck in Vegas! I am sure that I will have great pictures to share when we return.

What a busy November!!

What a great month....Ed and Cohen were busy finding new ways to keep each other entertained.

The Hawkeyes ended a great season. Ed and some friends went to the last game and Cohen and Cael sported their Hawk gear!

We had a great Thanksgiving and got to spend time with family. Click here to see more Thanksgiving pictures.

We have put up our two fake trees (with some help from Rachel) and we brought home our 9' tall and 8' wide, yes 8' feet wide, real tree. Cohen met Santa at the tree farm and was so scared....poor little guy. Click here to see more pictures.

Trick or Treat...Smell my Feet!

Tonight Ed and I took Cami, Ben and Cohen to Living History Farms to Trick or Treat. They had a great time getting candy and tatoos, eating kettle corn, riding the hayrack ride and roasting marshmellows. This was Cohen's first experience trick or treating and he was a little overwhelmed with the people and lights....but don't worry Cami and Ben helped show him the ropes.

Pumpkin Carving Contest 2009

A little rain could not spoil our 2009 Pumpkin Carving Contest. There were quite a few pumpkins this year; but the winners were Sarah who created one pumpkin eating another pumpkin with pumpkin guts everywhere and Gavin who had a scary face pumpkin....congrats to both of you....the competition was tough!

Cohen had a great time throwing pumpkin guts at his cousins Liz and Jenny...and he even tried to eat a few pumpkin seeds.

The party was also hopping with HAWKEYE fans watching the game against Michagan State...for awhile we all thought the hawks were not going to make it through with a win...but they did and everyone was so excited!

Thanks to everyone who came to the party; hopefully you had a great time.

Click here for all the great pictures!

Good Puppies

The dogs played in the front yard while Ed hooked up the TV on the top of his truck so everyone at the pumpkin carving contest could watch the Hawkeyes! Too bad it rained....we had to move the tv in the garage! Everyone still had fun though.

Girl at Blue Moon Dueling Piano Bar

Ok, so Saturday night we went to Blue Moon Dueling Piano bar to help my friend Libby celebrate her 30th birthday....it was a blast. And for anyone who has not been to this bar it is fun and laid back and quite fun! They call random people on the stage and make fun of them or sing to them, mostly to the birthday people or the people who are they for their bridal parties. Or you could be my friend Libby who volunteers to go up on stage and dance with the piano players while they play...she had a little too much to drink.

But during our time at the bar they brought up a women who was about 30ish and pretty and cute and adorable....and they sang "You've lost that loving feeling" and they mentioned that she had just found out that she was in remission and no more cancer.

So why am I telling you this...I have no idea...and I have no idea who she was....but I do know that for the 3 minutes while they sang to her while she sat on one of the pianos...I felt that the whole bar bonded as we clapped (and I am sure silently prayed) for her health. There was this weird feeling, almost goose bumpy, that made me want to go hug her. But I didn't. Way to go to the girl who fought and won the battle with cancer.

A little Friday night fun!

On Friday night Ed and I went to an indoor BBQ (indoor because it was a little chilly and rainy) with some friends from Tesdell. We had a great meal and a great time...I even touched Sage, Gavin's snake.

Playdate at Jordan Creek Mall

On Saturday, Cohen had a playdate with his friends Noah, Greyson and Alec. All four boys are within 2 months of each other and are becoming good buds! The play area was super busy and little scary as the bigger kids were running all over the place. The boys had fun for about 45 minutes and then we found ourselves shopping in Children's Place. Go Hawks!

Cohen is so happy that the hawks are 5-0. He loves to to watch the games with Ed, grandpa, and great grandpa. Cohen drinks his milk and eats his goldfish while the other Thielking men drink a few beers and munch on more "grown up" appetizers! Click here for more pictures!

One of the first comments we received from the daycare center is "Wow; Cohen is a good eater isn't he...he is always finished before anyone else". Well, the truth is that is a GREAT eater...sometimes I think that is all he does. Check out all the pictures that Grandma Vickie has snapped while Cohen was eating at her house!

You're invited to the 3rd Annual Thielking Pumpkin Carving Contest

So...a month later and Cohen is sick again...

So...a month later and Cohen is sick again...but this time with a stomach flu. Poor little guy is throwing up and is so confused about the situation....like "did that stuff just come out of me?"

Eddie gets home tomorrow from working out of town all week...Cohen and I miss him and can't wait until he is home.

I have been bad about taking pictures lately, but check out what I have uploaded, click here.

The beautiful girl below is my cousin Elizabeth who watched Cohen this summer!! We all miss her!

Cohen's first ear infection

OMG, nobody told that it was this hard to see your baby not feel very well. Cohen has his first ear infection, which happens to be a double ear infection, and he is miserable...which makes me sad. The worst part is that I did not know he was even sick. I knew that he had a runny nose from what I thought was his teething, but then the daycare called and told me he had temp and I decided that he better go to the doctor. They got him some drugs and I think that they are helping...poor little guy! I do have to say that we are pretty lucky because he is almost 14 months and this is his first ear infection, some babies have multiple infections in their first year of life (Cohen's great health is all in thanks to Grandma Pat watching him is first 12 months)!!!
